6.0/10

The hotel offers comfortable rooms with typical amenities but falls short of delivering a deluxe experience due to a persistent unpleasant odor and signs of wear. The service is a mix of helpfulness in room upgrades and cleanliness issues with high prices. The location is convenient for visiting the national park but is known for security concerns. Dining options vary from impressive to limited.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms, although motel-style, provide basic comfort with standard amenities. However, the persistent unpleasant odor detracts from the overall experience, requiring constant efforts to mask it with deodorants and open windows. The worn-out appearance is noticeable.
Service
5.0
The service was a mix of helpfulness when upgrading rooms but lacking in cleanliness and value for money. The high prices did not align with the quality of service received.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location just outside Katherine, on the way to the national park, offers a convenient starting point for visitors. However, security concerns about theft incidents in the area may be unsettling.
Dining
6.0
Dining experiences range from impressive offerings to disappointingly limited options, especially during peak times like the buffet breakfast when choices were inadequate for the number of guests.

The hotel is just outside Katherine, in an excellent location en route to Nitmiluk National Park, making it perfect for early park visits and cruises. The rooms could use a modern update but are kept clean. The staff is accommodating, although there were some mix-ups. The dining experience has its flaws, especially with high-priced coffee and tough bacon, but offers a variety of choices. The lush surroundings and well-maintained pools add to the hotel's charm, while some services need improvement in communication and organization.

5.2/10

I stayed at the hotel, which had its advantages and disadvantages. The location was excellent for exploring Katherine Gorge, but the room I was allocated was directly adjoining the pool, leading to constant noise from the slamming pool gate. The price was reasonable, but the room itself took ages to cool down and had worn-out amenities like old, discoloured tiles, and a hard bed.

Rooms
5.0
The room had some issues like being directly next to the pool gate which was noisy, and it took a long time to cool down. The amenities were old and worn, like discoloured tiles and a hard bed.
Service
6.0
The staff was super helpful when my car broke down and I was stranded in Katherine. They were particularly interested in assisting me, but the food, especially the breakfast, was disappointing for the price.
Location
6.0
The location was a mixed bag - great for exploring Katherine Gorge and just outside of Katherine, making it convenient for early visits to Nitmiluk National Park. However, it was crowded, noisy, and had a smoking area near the car park.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was a mixed bag, with some dishes being good and others disappointing. The buffet had limited food options, and the quality was uneven.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were average, nothing exceptional to note.
